The Sewline Mechanical Fabric Pencil's specially formulated ceramic lead gives a clean fine line on fabrics. I've been switching lead between light and dark (white and grey) to mark points on projects. Now the green shows in both and I do not have to switch! Haven't used it on embroidery yet so I cannot comment on tracing pattern for embroidery projects.

The marking pencil worked fine - not sure it would be good on all fabrics.
